The Owl Single Speed is a 20 inch lightweight bike for kids ages 5-7, with an inseam of 19-23”.

Kindergarteners – What’s up! Your rocket ship to adventure just landed. The Owl is a tough-as-nails freedom machine.

The Owl’s 20 inch wheels are the same size Olympic BMX riders use. On your child’s bike, this means the Owl rolls fast over small obstacles and bigger jumps than the Hedgehog.

Your 5 to 7-year-old* will ride longer distances, climb steeper pitches and descend more technical lines. Weighing in at just 19 lbs., the Owl has a freewheel and a rigid front fork paired with 20” all-terrain tires to give this little rig plenty of clearance. Bigger stair drops, wider jumps, and longer adventures. The ride to elementary school just got real.

FIT + SIZING

  • The Owl is best fit for rider with an inseam measurement of 19-23″.
  • A rider with a 21″ inseam will sit on the Owl with their bottom on the saddle, flat footed on the ground with the seat at its lowest position.
  • At that same saddle height, riders with 19” inseam will happily sit with only the balls of their feet on the ground.
  • As long as a child has an inseam of 19”, their arms and torso are long enough so they can reach the handlebars comfortably.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

This comes stock with a 32T chainring and a 19T freewheel.
Yes, the rear mount style Greenfield works best on both Owl models.
The Owl uses a 1” headtube, and unfortunately there are no 1” steerer, 20” wheel suspension forks.
Yes the Owl is a great starter bike as long as the bike is the correct size. Like our smaller bikes, this can be used briefly without the pedals as a larger balance bike. Older kids pick this up super quickly and this is sometimes only hours before you put the pedals on.
