Return Policy

Sometimes things just don’t work out, we get it. Your purchase is eligible for return for 30 days from date of delivery. A $25 flat rate return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount. Please note bikes purchased on sale or using a discount code are subject to a 5% restocking fee that will be deducted from your refund. 

Here’s what to do:

Submit a return request by selecting “I need to make a return” from the drop down list on this form.

Next, we’ll email you a prepaid return label to ship your bike back to us.
Repack your bike in the original shipping box (if you no longer have the box please contact us for help repackaging).
Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of arrival to our Richmond, CA headquarters. Your return confirmation will include directions about how to repackage your bike. If you still need help, just let us know.

Small parts and accessories are subject to a $5 restocking fee that will be automatically deducted from your refund.

We do not cover return shipping costs originating from addresses outside the the lower 48 US states. Should a product need to be returned from a location other than the lower 48, return shipping expense will be deducted from your refund.

Shipping Policy

All bikes ship via UPS from our Richmond, California headquarters. Parts are sent either USPS or UPS depending on rates. Delivery time depends on the customer selected shipping speed. Please note that there are sometimes shipping delays that are outside of our control that occur after bikes have been shipped. We stand behind every bike we ship. If something arrives awry, please reach out to our support team and we’ll help you get it resolved right away! [email protected] 

Orders may take 24-48hrs to be processed. Orders are processed Monday-Friday, 9AM – 4PM PST. Orders will ship in 1-5 business days, unless otherwise indicated on your order confirmation. Please note that backordered/preordered bikes will ship in the approximate timeframe listed on that model’s product page and during checkout.

Sales Tax and Duties:
Sales tax charged to orders shipped within the state of California. The current California sales tax rate is 8.5%. Orders shipped to US states outside of CA are not charged sales tax.

Cleary Bikes LIFETIME Warranty

Cleary warranties our bikes to the original purchaser against manufacturer’s defects for the bike’s lifetime.

We manufacture our bikes to withstand the rigors and abuse that kids can dish out! That said, anything can break given just the right amount of time, wear, or misfortune – we’re looking at you, dad who left the bike on the roof rack and drove into the garage. 

We are committed to keeping your child out and riding and we realize every warranty and/or parts replacement can be a unique situation.

It is our top priority to get your child back up and riding as quickly as possible with a fair and honest solution regardless of the situation.

Here’s the important stuff to know:

  • Our warranty policy applies to the original owner only. All frames have a lifetime warranty. Drivetrain and other components will be covered under warranty if there is a manufacturer’s defect. Our policy does not cover wear and tear and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by our Warranty Department.
  • You must register your bike on our site with your serial number and/or provide proof of purchase to qualify for a warranty. 
  • Cleary will cover the cost of outbound shipping. If return shipping is necessary, we will provide a label. Return shipping cost will be passed through to the customer. 

Our warranty policy does not cover:

  • Any labor costs associated with the warranty claim.
  • Basic adjustments such as, but not limited to, brakes, shifting or wheel adjustments. 
  • Modifications from stock configuration.
  • Normal wear-and-tear damage. i.e brake pads, grips, saddle wear, tires, long-term wear on cables, maintenance.
  • Paint damage caused by the removal of protective tapes or adhesives.

Replacement Parts

If your bike gets into an accident or things simply wear out after too much fun (it happens!) there’s a good chance we can help you get new parts. Most of our replacement parts ship free and can be found here.


We know kids are hard on stuff and our bikes are built to take it.

Above is our official stance, since to some degree these things need to be spelled out. But our entire philosophy is based around kids riding bikes, and we take that seriously. We’re well aware that not every circumstance can be accounted for and not every case falls neatly into one of the above categories. We look at every warranty and parts replacement case with a fresh lens and treat every situation in the manner in which we would expect it to be handled. Our goal is to leave no rider who supports us without support in return.
